Bio:
The promising, new band, Night Sky Empire, is arousing considerable interest on the Johannesburg rock circuit with their cool and adventurous music. Formed in May 2010, this intelligent and creative trio have a uniquely colourful, atmospheric and slow-burning rock sound spanning several moods as their music meanders and shape-shifts with ease and joy. Guitarist Thato Knox, bassist Harry Hathorn and drummer Cale Waddacor have developed their own soulful signature sound … an enchanting melange of alternative/indie, progressive and freeform rock styles, including cinematic elements of post-rock.
